The colors of the mountains and river gorges in fall paint an epic backdrop to many fishing stories. And as the leaves fall, a challenge comes to the fly angler. Some avoid the days when leaves float thick down mountain creeks. But some realize the beauty of the challenge. The painted portraits fall provides in Appalachia are well worth the mends around maple leaves and the hooksets into submerged sycamore leaves. And if you stay patient, stay committed, and welcome the challenge, the reward is truly special.

This Veterans Day, come say thank you in person and support a good cause 🇺🇸
Blue Ridge Honor Flight flies our veterans to Washington, D.C., at no cost to them, so they can stand at the memorials built in their honor, often for the first time. For many, it’s a day they never thought they’d get.
On Wednesday, November 11, we’re raising money to send more of our local heroes on that trip, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Special guest: Neil Denman, President of Blue Ridge Honor Flight, will be with us to share what these flights mean to the veterans who take them. If you’ve never heard an Honor Flight story firsthand, don’t miss this one.
Here’s the day:
🍺 Noon–8pm: Taproom open, with $1 from every draft going to BRHF
🌭 3–7pm: Hot dog plates. Veterans eat free, everyone else by donation
🎶 4–6pm: Music on the porch with Transylvania County’s own @codyhalemusic
🎯 Dart Night $$ Tournament: $20/duo, Cricket, single elimination, $100 to 1st place. Pre-register at the taproom, space is limited!
📍 25 Parkway Road, Rosman
