Hatchery Supported Trout Waters – CLOSED
Reminder that all NC Hatchery Supported Trout Waters are closed to fishing March 1 – April 3.
🎣 Opening Day is April 4 at 7:00 a.m.
Due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene and ongoing hatchery logistics, not all Hatchery Supported waters will be stocked prior to Opening Day.
The Upper French Broad River is listed as a fishery that will be stocked before Opening Day.
Please continue checking the NCWRC stocking schedule for updates.

Aguas de Trucha Apoyadas por Criaderos – CERRADAS
Recordatorio: Todas las Aguas de Trucha Apoyadas por Criaderos en Carolina del Norte están cerradas a la pesca del 1 de marzo al 3 de abril.
El día de apertura es el 4 de abril a las 7:00 a.m.
Debido a los efectos del Huracán Helene y a la logística actual de los criaderos, no todas las aguas apoyadas por criaderos serán sembradas antes del día de apertura.
El Upper French Broad River está en la lista de pesquerías que sí serán sembradas antes del día de apertura.

Beginning Monday, February 23rd, the Lyons Mountain River Access will be temporarily closed as improvement work begins.
This project, led by MountainTrue, is expected to last 3–5 weeks and will include much-needed upgrades to the boat ramp and parking area.
We’re grateful to MountainTrue and community partners like Explore Brevard for helping bring these improvements to fruition and investing in better river access for everyone.
Thank you for your patience while this important work is completed!
